School buses cancelled in parts of the GTA and southern Ontario [Video]

School buses are cancelled in a few areas of the Greater Toronto Area on Friday morning.

After a weather advisory on Thursday for freezing drizzle and snow, some roads remain unsafe. A winter travel advisory was issued Friday morning.

Rural areas in Durham and Orangeville have cancelled school buses on Feb. 7.

Here are the cancellations:

Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board 

Buses to St. Andrew Catholic Elementary School, St Peter Catholic Elementary School, St. Benedict Catholic Elementary School and Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School in Orangeville are cancelled due to winter weather conditions. All schools are open.

Durham Region

School bus transportation is cancelled for in Zone 1 (Brock), 2 (Uxbridge), and 3 (Scugog) due to ongoing road conditions resulting from inclement weather. All schools will remain open.
