Extra-curricular events at some schools including sports practices and games are being cancelled as a winter storm descends on southern Ontario this week.
The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board says in an update that “all evening permits and activities” at the district’s schools in Mississauga and Brampton have been cancelled for Wednesday “due to the forecasted winter storm.”
The Peel District School Board has confirmed all permits for the community use of schools in Mississauga and Brampton for Wednesday have been cancelled.
Child Care centres and After School Programs operated by licensed third-party providers will operate as scheduled, but any after-school events “are left to the discretion of the Principal of each school if they will be proceeding,” a spokesperson told INsauga.com.
“For after school events, please contact your school,” the PDSB says.
