DALLAS — A vehicle worth more in its lore and legacy than anything is up for auction: Dallas golfer Scottie Scheffler’s famous 2012 GMC Yukon XL with over 200,000 miles on it.
Aside from being previously owned by the best golfer on the planet, its story is legendary, too.
So the story goes, Scheffler’s father, Scott, bought the vehicle after the family’s car broke down more than a decade ago in Augusta, Georgia, at the 2012 Masters. They needed to get back home to Dallas and ended up buying the Yukon in Georgia to make the trip.
Scott Scheffler gifted Scottie the SUV when he graduated from the University of Texas – and he’s driven it ever since.
