Police have arrested Masoud Abdulla.

Police in Halton Region have laid additional charges against a man who they allege has been involved in inappropriate relationships with 13-year-old girls.

In December, police charged Masoud Abdulla, 35, of Toronto with several crimes, including sexual assault, after finding out a girl was contacted through social media by a man who then picked her up and took her to an undisclosed Halton location where she was sexually assaulted.

Following that investigation, police put out a bulletin suggesting there may be other victims.

As a result of that notice, police received information from another victim, and a separate investigation was launched this month.

“Similar to the previous investigation, (a man) used social media to initially connect with the 13-year-old female victim and fostered a relationship that lasted multiple years,” said police. “The accused picked the victim up away from her home so her guardians were unaware of the relationship.
