Section of road in Ontario town flooded for second time this month [Video]

The torrential rains that hit the region on the weekend, combined with rising temperatures that have melted the remaining snow have washed out a section of Concession Street in Bowmanville again, with the road between Lambs Road and Soper Creek Drive closed “until further notice.”

The post went out Monday that the section of Concession Street East was closed due to flooding and washouts and a spokesperson for the Municipality of Clarington said the closure remains in effect.

The municipality will advise when the road re-opens and is advising motorists to take alternate routes in the meantime.

The same section of roadway has had numerous flooding issues over the past year. It was washed out due to flooding on March 6 and the Camp 30 trail at Concession and Lambs was closed to pedestrians in August due to “unsafe conditions.”
