An Oshawa man is in custody after a sexual assault south-east of downtown Monday.
Durham Police reported that woman walking on the street near Dean Avenue and Sedan Crescent was approached by the suspect and touched “inappropriately” before the man ran away.
The victim provided a description of the suspect and his vehicle, a silver Nissan Rogue, and officers were able to arrest him later that day at a residence in the Harmony and Rossland Road area.
The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.
Police are concerned there may be more victims.
Andrew Pineda-Mayen, 25, has been charged with sexual assault and two counts of breaching court orders.
He was held for a bail hearing.
