Shindico is celebrating 50 years in the real estate business and currently manages a $2-billion pipeline of properties, all of which started in Portage la Prairie.

Hometown Beginnings

Sandy Shindleman, speaking from an office in Florida, reminisces about the humble beginnings in their community.

“First and foremost, Shindico was founded in Portage la Prairie, and I still consider that my hometown. We farmed on the East End of town and had a business on 4th St. Southeast. We’re still active there and, of course, still in the real estate business. We’re active in Brandon, Selkirk, and Winkler. We are Manitobans more than anything. You can’t beat Prairie folk.”
