Shooting in northeast Calgary leaves 1 person dead [Video]

A person is dead following a shooting in northeast Calgary on Friday evening.

The incident happened around 7:20 p.m., at a home in the 200 block of Homestead Drive N.E.

Police say a man was found dead.

EMS confirm they declared one person dead at the scene.

There were no other patients, EMS say.

Multiple officers including homicide detectives were on scene into the evening to investigate.

Witness reports and CCTV footage were collected from the scene.

Police locked down much of the street and an alleyway.

Police are now searching for suspects and say they believe the incident was targeted.
