BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – A wet Saturday has mostly passed, resulting in rain accumulation anywhere from 0.25 inches to 1.5 inches across Maine as of 7:00pm. Downeast communities saw the lightest amounts, while the Central Highlands received the most rain.
This rain is due to another weekend low-pressure system which worked across New England today. The low pressure now sits in Northern Maine and Southern Quebec this evening. This low will rise into the Saint Lawrence River valley tomorrow. High pressure will take over for the work week, typical for the trend we have been in over the last few months, so sunshine and warmth will return by Tuesday and Wednesday, before more unsettled weather is possible later this coming week.
Tonight, low temps will vary from the low 40s to low 50s. Skies will remain cloudy, with showers on and off throughout the night. Fog is likely for many. …
