BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – For our Tuesday… low pressure over Western Quebec will push an occluded front into the region. This will give us a chance for some scattered showers through the morning hours. A new area of low pressure is expected to develop near the Maine coast this afternoon. This will result in steadier and heavier rain developing from southwest to northeast across the state towards the mid-afternoon and evening hours. High temperatures today will top off in the upper 40s to mid-50s. Rain will taper off from southwest to northeast across the state by midnight tonight as the system lifts to our north and east. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with just a chance for a few scattered showers after midnight. Temperatures will drop to the 30s to near 40° for nighttime lows.
