DAWSON CREEK –Dawson Creek police have taken more guns and illicit drugs off the street.

After executing a search warrant on a residence in Pouce Coupe, Mounties say they seize 4 illegal firearms, over 20 other weapons and more than 300 rounds of ammunition.

Police tell CJDC TV News that more than 200 grams of suspected fentanyl and cocaine were also seized from the home.

Mounties say Ben Touchette was later arrested without incident. He is facing a number of charges.

Back in April, Touchette was wanted by police for failing to appear for a court date while facing a previous charge of possessing ammunition while prohibited.

He will remain in custody until his bail hearing which is scheduled for October 8th.
