On-street parking will be suspended and a “Significant Weather Event” has been declared ahead of another storm set to hit Burlington.
The City of Burlington says the declaration will come into effect at 6 a.m. on Saturday and will last “until further notice.”
Environment Canada says to expect between 5 to 10 cm of snow on Saturday with more on the way for Sunday.
There’s also a winter weather travel advisory in effect for Saturday with a risk of freezing drizzle.
Environment Canada is warning against any unnecessary travel and says to take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
“Snow will likely mix with freezing drizzle through the day, resulting in light ice build-up and slippery surfaces,” the agency says.
