LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) -Smoke from the Canadian wildfires has lead to unhealthier readings of air quality in Nebraska on Sunday.

According to Airnow.gov, air quality is currently unhealthy for sensitive groups in parts of eastern Nebraska. While central Nebraska is experiencing moderate air quality readings as of Sunday evening.

This means individuals with heart or lung disease, older adults, children and teens should take care to reduce their exposure. The site recommends doing less strenuous activities, shortening the amount of time you spend outdoors, and attempt to stay indoors in places where air quality is better.
