Smoky skies as wildfire smoke returns [Video]

WEDNESDAY: A few showers and rumbles are passing by to the south this morning. The main forecast concern today is the wildfire smoke bringing hazy skies and impacts to air quality. Unhealthy air quality is anticipated. Otherwise, we will see partly to mostly cloudy conditions through the afternoon.

THURSDAY – FRIDAY:Towards the end of the week, moisture from a low-pressure system in the Central Plains will push into our region. Models vary regarding exactly where the rain and thunderstorms will push through, which affects where the highest rain totals will occur. Regardless, the rain will last between Thursday evening and Friday afternoon, and models generally suggest the highest rain will be in the southern half of our region.
