Multiple flights to Washington, D.C. from Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga have been cancelled on Monday due to major winter storms that are wreaking havoc with much of the U.S. Midwest and Eastern Seaboard.
And travellers using Pearson are also being urged by airport officials to seek updates from their airlines as the nasty weather south of the border could also potentially impact flights to and from other U.S. cities.
“Three of today’s six departing flights from Toronto Pearson to Reagan Airport (Washington, D.C.) have been cancelled,” Pearson officials said in a post to social media late Monday morning.
In an early afternoon post, Pearson officials said there are now “multiple flight cancellations today for travellers” headed to Dulles International Airport, which also serves the U.S. capital.
