If the last two days have thrown a wrench into your Family Day plans with blustery winds, heavy snow, and hundreds of flight delays grounding travellers across Ontario—you might not want to put away the winter gear just yet.

More snow, freezing temperatures and brisk winds are here to stay throughout the week.

It looks like Saturday’s blizzard was just the beginning of the chaos, with Environment Canada predicting the weather to worsen.

As of Sunday (Feb. 16), a second round of snow has brought an additional 25 cm or more to parts of southern Ontario. By the afternoon, the weather agency extended its advisory for Durham, Niagara and Toronto while ending the warning in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton and Hamilton.

Snow is expected to taper off by evening, leaving behind cloudy skies with a 60 per cent chance of flurries. Local blowing snow may also reduce visibility, especially in open areas. Brisk winds will move in gusting up to 60 km/h. Temperatures …
