Snow returns this week in GTA and southern Ontario [Video]

Winter isn’t over yet in southern Ontario.

Southern Ontario had above-normal temperatures this week and some melting of huge snow banks left from snowstorms earlier this month.

The temperature is cooler Wednesday with a high of 3 C a low of around zero in Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and Durham Region, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.

A mix of sun and clouds is expected.

Environment Canada forecasts about two cm of snow starting around midnight.

On Thursday, the snow continues with about two cm expected. A temperature high of around 5 C and lows down to -8 C are forecast.

The normal temperature for this time of year is a high around 1 C and low of -8 C, according to Environment Canada.

Toronto Pearson Airport officials said they are expecting two to five cm of snow at the airport.

Officials don’t expect the snow to impact flights at the airport.
