Snowstorm set to impact southern Ontario and Toronto area [Video]

A significant winter storm is set to impact much of southern Ontario Monday.

It will bring snowfall accumulations of up to 15 cm, low visibility and hazardous travel conditions.

Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a winter weather travel advisory urging residents to prepare for challenging weather throughout the day.

Snowfall will begin this morning, accompanied by low visibility and challenging travel conditions. A brief break in the snow may occur in the afternoon, with only a few centimetres expected from the initial round. However, a second, more intense snowfall is predicted to move in during the afternoon or early evening, bringing total accumulations of five to 15 cm by the time snow transitions to flurries late tonight.
