BANGOR, Maine (WABI) -Low pressure continues to push into southern New England making its way in our direction tonight. This low is currently bringing heavy rainfall to parts of southern & western New England. Light showers have just started to move into western Maine and will spread across the region overnight. Showers will slide into the Bangor region after 10 PM with some locations along the New Brunswick border not expecting rain until or shortly after midnight. Lows tonight will be mostly in the 40s.

The low will move into the Gulf of Maine Saturday morning. As it does so, heavy bands of rain will spread onshore during the first half of the day. Some of this heavy rainfall will lead to areas of localized flooding, especially for areas that are prone to poor drainage. Ponding on roadways will also be likely.
