At least three people were arrested after a high-speed chase in San Bernardino County where the suspect driver hit two police cruisers and drove on the sidewalk during the pursuit last week, officials announced.
The Oct. 5 incident occurred as patrol officers with the Montclaire and Ontario police departments were in pursuit of at least three suspects in a stolen vehicle just after 9:30 p.m. when the chase entered Upland.
In footage of the chase released by police, the suspect is seen clipping two Upland police cruisers on Armstrong Way as he maneuvered around them, sideswiped nearly a half-dozen cars parked along the curb and then drove on the sidewalk and turned left on West 8th Street to avoid officers.
The driver, who was being tracked by Ontario PD’s helicopter, pulled the vehicle into what appears to be a nearby apartment complex where the suspects attempted to flee on foot.
