A special weather statement has been issued for the GTA and southern Ontario with another 15 mm of rain possible through Wednesday night.
Environment Canada updated its outlook for the province on Wednesday afternoon and says there’s another 5 mm to 15 mm of rainfall expected on Wednesday in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Oshawa among other areas.
The agency has issued a special weather statement adding to weather advisories issued earlier in the week saying to expect up to 25 mm or rain and snowmelt in some parts of the province.
Both Credit Valley Conservation and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority issued flood statements, with the CCVC upgrading the flood outlook to a flood watch.
The watch is in effect through to Thursday.
Localized flooding in low-lying areas and water pooling on roads is possible, the watch notice stated.
