SPOKANE, Wash. – The Asian Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Festival is now underway at Riverfront Park.
This event is a vibrant celebration of culture featuring live performances, 70-plus vendors, and demonstrations.
Festivalgoers can enjoy a variety of food from around the world. One highlight of the festival is an exhibit honoring those who died in the Vietnam War.
Organizers shared their motivation, stating, “We felt that we should honor those who fought in the war, those who survived in the war, and to remind the community about that there’s nothing nice, ugly. War is just not a good thing.”
The festival continues throughout the weekend. On Saturday, activities run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors can look forward to exciting demonstrations, including a luau and a fire knife show, which are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
