Sports legend hosts free youth soccer festival in Brampton [Video]

A soccer legend from Brampton hosts a two-day festival in the city this month.

The Atiba Hutchinson “13 Great Assists” Soccer Festival comes to Century Gardens on May 17 and 18, Councillor Rowena Santos announced.

Born in Brampton, Hutchinson is a former Canadian professional soccer player who is considered a soccer legend in Canada. With 105 international appearances in the span of 20 years, he is the Canadian national team’s record cap holder.

“It’s an honour to support Brampton’s own, Atiba Hutchinson, who continues to inspire and give back to our community with events like this one at Century Gardens,” said Santos.
