A 32-year-old with no fixed address has been charged in a stabbing in Oshawa last week that sent a man to hospital.

Durham Police responded to an armed person call near Park Road and Adelaide Avenue in the city’s west end just before 4 p.m. on April 29 and found the victim suffering from a stab wound to his arm.

The suspect had fled prior to the arrival of police.

The victim was taken to a Toronto trauma centre where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Central West Division officers arrested Jesse Richards Tuesday without incident and charged him with aggravated assault and a breach of probation offence.

He was held for a bail hearing.

Anyone with video footage or information about this incident is asked to contact D/Cst. Handscomb from the Central East Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1705.
