Ste. Madeleine village lands returned to Manitoba Métis

Manitoba’s premier is making good on a promise that rights a historical wrong for Métis in that province.

Wab Kinew is signing over 100 acres of land to the Manitoba Métis Federation.

The village of Ste. Madeleine — three hours west of Winnipeg
— was burned to the ground by government workers back in 1938.
