Stolen car leads to charges for Quebec woman, youth after Mississauga arrests [Video]

A Quebec woman and a youth face charges in connection with a vehicle theft in the Streetsville area of Mississauga.

Peel Regional Police said they were alerted to the stolen car on March 29, a Saturday, shortly before 11:30 a.m. The vehicle was spotted in the area of Willow Way and Riverside Place, near Creditview and Bristol roads.

“Investigators conducted surveillance in that area, which led to the apprehension of two individuals,” police said in a news release on Tuesday.

Asmaa Ouadria, 24, of Quebec, is charged with:

  • possession of break-in-instruments
  • possession of device to obtain unauthorized use of a computer system
  • fail to comply with release order (three counts)
  • breach of probation order

At the time of her arrest, Ouadria was also wanted by Durham Regional Police for similar offences.

A youth, of no fixed address, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime. Police didn’t provide the youth’s age.

Both accused were held in custody pending bail hearings in Brampton court.
