Two Oshawa teenagers have been arrested after being caught driving a stolen vehicle.

Durham Police were patrolling near Bloor Street and Park Road Saturday evening, just after 8 p.m., when they received an alert from their Automated Licence Plate Recognition system that a nearby black Toyota Rav4 was reported as stolen.

Officers then spotted the suspect vehicle travelling east on Bloor Street and conducted a traffic stop.

Antonio Cabrera, 18, and a 16-year-old were arrested without incident and both charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000.

They were both released on an undertaking.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Cst. Killen of Central East Division at 1-888-579-1520 at ext. 2047.
