Environment Canada issued winter weather advisories for much of the province on Monday saying the biggest snow storm of the season in southern Ontario will kick off on Wednesday.
But many of those alerts have been upped as the storm approaches, with the agency saying peak snowfall rates could exceed 5 cm per hour starting in areas around the GTA like Richmond and Vaughan, as well as Orillia, North Bay, Parry Sound, and communities off Georgian Bay and Lake Huron.
