ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – A strong area of low pressure is bringing wind and rain to the Bering Sea, Alaska Peninsula and Aleutian Islands. Adak is expected to see winds out of the south 30 to 40 mph with wind gusts to 65 mph.

A High Wind Warning is in place for the Yukon Delta Coast and the Lower Yukon river for winds out of the east gusting to 60 mph. The warning was extended until 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Wind gust around Cold Bay hit 69 degrees

High pressure continues to dominate most of the state leaving many areas under clear skies and chilly to cold temperatures. Anchorage will see temperatures in the mid to upper 20s for much of the week with some clouds moving back in by Thursday. The Interior will hold on clear skies through the coming weekend.
