‘Strange’ optical illusion in parking lot intrigues internet [Video]

A video showing an unexpected optical illusion captured in a parking lot in Florida has gone viral on TikTok.

The clip was shared by @amymcgrif and has garnered 8.3 million views since it was posted on February 20.

The footage, captured in Key West, Florida, shows a view over a parking lot. A couple of garbage cans can be seen near what appears to initially look like a small circular table.

A caption overlaid on the clip says: “I thought, what a weird spot for a table. Why would they put it in a public parking lot?”

Subsequent text reads, “then this happened” as a car is shown driving right over the “table,” which turns out to be a manhole, or a sewer cover, in the ground.
