Four of the five most affordable homes sold in Durham Region last month were in Oshawa with one building in the north end taking the top two spots.

Studio apartments at 1900 Simcoe St. N went 1-2, with a unit on the fourth floor selling for $223,000 and one on the seventh floor released May 24 for $266,758.

Both properties – primarily marketed to students attending nearby Ontario Tech University and Durham College – sold for under asking, with the condo at #417 selling for $87,000 less than the asking price of $310,000 from last October.

The units offer ensuite laundry and the building has a hub on each floor (with a full-size kitchen for ‘special occasions’), a gym, meeting rooms and a rooftop lounge, with fast food options at ground level.
