A stabbing at Uxbridge Secondary School Monday sent one teen to hospital and a 16-year-old to jail on a half-dozen charges, including assault with a weapon.

Police were called to the school just before noon Monday for an armed person call and found the victim suffering from a stab wound.  He was transferred to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released. The suspect remained on scene and was taken into custody without incident.

The 16-year-old boy is charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, carrying a concealed weapon and several probation breaches.

He was held for a bail hearing.

Anyone with video footage or information about this incident is asked to contact A/Detective Sergeant Michael Naccarato from the North Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2686.
