BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – High pressure from Sunday and Monday moved out to sea off of Southern New England as a cold front moved through during the overnight hours. The good news is high pressure sits up to our North in Quebec this morning. This high pressure will drop South, passing through Maine this afternoon. We can continue to expect sunny skies on Wednesday as the high sits off the coast of Nova Scotia. High pressure exits and clouds with some showers will enter on Thursday and Friday, before more consistent rain chances for the weekend.

Today will be a beautiful day with mostly sunny skies. A few more clouds might pass through Northern Maine. High temperatures will vary from the upper 50s to low 70s. NE winds this morning will transition to Southerly winds with gusts up to 20 mph during the evening hours as high pressure works through. …
