Sunshine is forecast this weekend in southern Ontario.

While the region has experienced gloomy and cloudy days at the end of the week, there should be a break this weekend.

A sunny and clear day is forecast for Saturday in Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and Durham Region, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Highs of around 11 C are expected with chilly lows of around 1 C for Saturday evening.

Sunday is much the same with a high of 11 C but there is a 30 per cent chance of showers. An overcast day is also expected.

These seasonable temperatures are expected to continue into early next week as well.

But Ontario residents may want to prepared for possible snow. Forecasters have predicted snow the following weekend, between Nov. 21 to 23 in parts of southern Ontario. The first blast of snow in the GTA could be on Nov. 26.
