“The house is not known (to police), and we currently are working on a motive,” Surrey police spokesperson S/Sgt. Lindsey Houghton said.

“It doesn’t, at this time, appear to have any connection to gang or organized crime activity … the individuals in the home aren’t known to police.”

Houghton said police are still investigating whether the shooting was targeted or was a case of mistaken identity.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 604-599-0502.
