Police in Surrey say they’re investigating after a house was peppered with gunfire overnight.

Around 1 a.m. Monday, a resident arrived at home in the 7100 block of 128 Street in Newton to find several gunshot holes in the side of the house, according to police.

Nobody was home at the time of the shooting and no suspects have been identified, the Surrey Police Service said in a news release.

Police say they suspect the shooting happened between 10 p.m. Sunday and 1 a.m. Monday.
