Police are asking people without power after the weekend’s ice storm to be patient and refrain from threatening hydro workers.
Today, the Peterborough County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police alleged that a resident threatened a hydro worker attempting to restore power in North Kawartha Township.
Police say that on April 2, officers spoke to a worker who told officers that they were at the side of the road completing some paperwork when the driver of a dark coloured SUV stopped beside them and allegedly said that if the power wasn’t restored to their house by that evening, they would be coming after the hydro worker to cause them harm.
The worker did not ask police to pursue charges against the driver.
