Police have identified a vehicle believed to be involved in a targeted shooting at a home in St. Catharines early Friday morning.
Niagara Regional Police released images on Saturday of a white Mercedes sedan last seen travelling east on Queenston Street following a shooting that happened shortly after 2 a.m. near Niagara Street and Church Street.
Officers indicated that they had arrived within a minute of the 911 call and confirmed that gunshots had been fired at a home known to police.
Police say the shooting is linked to the local drug subculture. The number of suspects involved remains unknown and no physical descriptions are currently available.
No injuries were reported, and while the cause of the shooting remains under investigation, police say there is no ongoing risk to the public.
