Toronto police are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted a taxi driver in the city’s east end last month.

Police said they received a call at 3:40 a.m. on Nov. 30 for an assault near Broadview Avenue and Chester Hill Road.

Officers arrived and learned that a man hopped on a taxi and, for unknown reasons, later allegedly assaulted the driver.

The victim suffered minor injuries, police said. Meanwhile, the man fled in an unknown direction.

On Saturday, police released a photo of the suspect, asking for the public’s help identifying him.

He is described as six feet tall, clean-shaven, with a medium build and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and a light-coloured hooded sweater.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 416-808-5500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477) or www.222.tips.com.
