Takedown of home invasion ‘network’ leads to more charges for Brampton man: police [Video]

Police have laid over a dozen additional charges against a Brampton man after taking down a “criminal network” involved in violent and armed home invasions in Ontario.

The new charges come following a more than year-long investigation into home invasions, armed robberies and drug trafficking in the GTA dubbed Project Skyfall by York Regional Police.

Police say three masked men broke into a home Christmas Eve near Forest Drive and Harmonia Crescent in Vaughan, holding the occupants at gunpoint and assaulting victims while demanding money.

When officers arrived on the scene they encountered three suspects and one of the officers fired their service weapon “multiple times.” One of the suspects was arrested while the other two fled, and police say they recovered a loaded firearm at the scene.
