Tesla showroom in Hamilton’s Lime Ridge Mall
An Ontario voting advocacy group is urging real estate giant Cadillac Fairview to evict Tesla stores from its malls in retaliation for the economic sanctions being implemented by U.S. President Donald Trump.
“Trump is trying to bully Canada with tariffs and threats of annexation – and Elon Musk is basically running his regime,” the Ontario Voters Coalition said in a statement that came with a petition aimed at the company and five mall managers in Canada. “Elon is a foreign adversary, and yet his companies, like Tesla, operate in our country.”
Tesla showrooms are located in Cadillac Fairview malls in including Oshawa Centre, Yorkdale and Sherway Gardens in Toronto, Masonville Mall in London and Champlain Place in Dieppe, New Brunswick.
