Property owners in Oshawa are being warned about a possible Canada Post strike that could begin later this month, which would impact mail delivery of tax bills.
Residents were reminded they are still responsible for submitting any time-sensitive payments and applications on time during a service disruption. Items received late are subject to penalty or interest.
Property owners enrolled in the city’s Pre-Authorized Tax Payment plan should contact Service Oshawa to learn their July 2025 withdrawal amounts.
To avoid the impact of the service disruptions in the future, property owners are encouraged to register to receive interim and final tax bills through e-billing.
Final tax bills will be issued this month and should be in the hands of homeowners by May 31 at the latest. If property owners have not received their bill by this date, they are encouraged to reach out to Taxation Services at [email protected].
