ST. BERNARD PARISH, La. — A tragic crash in St. Bernard Parish on Friday ended with one teenage bicyclist dead and another injured, according to the Louisiana State Police.

The crash claimed the life of 13-year-old Joshua Bordelon of St. Bernard. State police said it was a two-vehicle accident on March 14, around 10:20 p.m. on LA 300 (Bayou Road) near LA 39.

Bordelon and another teen were riding a bicycle in the middle of the westbound lane when they were struck by a 2014 GMC Yukon SUV.

State police said ” At the time of the crash, LA 300 was poorly lit, both riders were wearing dark clothing and there were no lights on the bicycle,” in a release.

Bordelon suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital where he later died. The other teen sustained …
