KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Alberta Osuna has filed for a new motion in his ongoing pursuit of NCAA eligibility with Tennessee Baseball.
Osuna is a member of the UT baseball team and transferred to the school earlier in 2025 from UNC-Chapel Hill. He hasn’t played a game with the Vols yet because of issues over his eligibility.
On Monday, Osuna filed a motion for reconsideration following a recent ruling in the District Court of New Jersey. In that ruling, Rutgers football player Jett Elad was awarded a preliminary injunction that granted him eligibility in the 2025 season—a similar decision to that of Diego Pavia, a Vanderbilt quarterback.
