Tesla Pulled From Vancouver Auto Show Amid Safety, Subsidy, and Political Concerns [Video]

This year’s Vancouver International Auto Show was expected to draw more than 100,000 visitors excited to check out the latest cars and EV tech. But one major name was missing: Tesla.

In a move that caught plenty of attention, show organizers removed Tesla from the lineup just one day before the event opened its doors. As reported by CBC News British Columbia, the decision officially came down to safety, but it’s clear there’s more to the story.

According to CNN, Tesla was given multiple chances to pull out voluntarily over the previous week. When that didn’t happen, they were formally removed. Organizers emphasized the decision wasn’t political and framed it purely as a matter of public and staff safety.
