Welcome to another Made in Manitoba, and tonight… just like your Thanksgiving dinner plate this weekend… we’re giving you a second helping of the best music made by Manitobans. We’re featuring, for the first time, the Juno-award winning string quartet The Fretless which just released their sixth album “Glasswing”. Similar to their previous work, it showcases masterful fiddle and folk melodies combined with genre-bending sounds.

The Fretless are from out of province, but Winnipeg’s Madeleine Roger is featured prominently on the album, co-writing and appearing as a vocalist on three of the songs. She’s also providing the vocals on the group’s current tour which has a stop in Winnipeg October 14th at the West End Cultural Centre. With that connection, we wanted to bring the music of Madeleine and The Fretless to Made in Manitoba this weekend.
