Ontario Premier Doug Ford said on Thursday he and federal Canadian officials had a productive meeting with U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, where they discusses the ongoing trade war between Canada and the United States. “We had a very, very productive meeting … We feel that the temperature is being lowered,” Ford told reporters outside the Commerce Department in Washington following the meeting, which was also attended by Canada’s Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc and Industry Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne.
