Several arrests have been made in what Peel Police say was “an organized prolific theft ring targeting the LCBO.”
Police say the group struck at 50 LCBO locations across various jurisdictions between August of 2024 and February of this year.
“On many occasions, multiple suspects would enter the store together and operate in a coordinated manner to distract and keep watch of employees, while others entered through a restricted access point to steal volumes of liquor. To date, approximately $237,738.95 worth of products were stolen,” according to police.
As a result of the investigation, five Brampton-area men have been arrested and charged with theft over $5,000, while three of them have received additional charges:

Simarpeet Singh, 29-year-old man
Sharndeep Singh, 25-year-old man
- Breach of release order
Simranjeet Singh, 24-year-old man
- Break and enter with intent to commit indictable offence
Prabhpreet Singh, 29-year-old man
- Conspiracy to commit indictable offence
