This Liberal candidate would be better for Canada’s economy than Poilievre: Poll [Video]

As candidates debate in the race to be the next leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, many people believe one person would best handle the country’s economy.

Four people are in the race to replace Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as Liberal leader—former central banker Mark Carney, former finance minister Chrystia Freeland, former House leader Karina Gould and former MP Frank Baylis. Former Ontario MP Ruby Dhalla has been disqualified.

Voting for the new leader begins on Feb. 26 and will close on March 9.

In a close result, INsauga.com readers believe Carney would be the best choice for the economy over Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre.

When asked who would handle the Canadian economy better if they became Prime Minister, the poll found 8,700 or 56.69 per cent of respondents chose Carney as of Feb. 25. A total of 6,646 or 43.31 per cent of readers chose Poilievre.
