Two men and a youth from York Region are facing shoplifting and auto theft charges after a LCBO robbery in Port Perry last Friday.

Durham Police responded to a theft call at 7:30 p.m. on May 2 at the LCBO outlet on Highway 7A in Port Perry. The suspects fled in a stolen vehicle before police arrived.

Police were able to locate the getaway car and the suspects a short distance away after it was involved in a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 12 and Reach Street.

The three occupants were arrested at the scene without incident.

No physical injuries were reported in the accident or the robbery, police said.

Bilal Ghumman Humman, 26, from Markham, is charged with numerous offences, including seven shoplifting charges, possession of stolen property, fail to stop for police, dangerous driving and fail to comply with release order.
